Class Wish - 'to treat others how you would like to be treated.'
Brendan has a huge heart with plenty of love and compassion to show others. He lights up every room with his infectious smile and nobody in our class is ever left out or feels alone. There has been numerous times this half term when Brendan has gone out of his way to include people in his games. Your acts of kindness have not gone unnoticed Brendan. Keep it up.
Ryan is the perfect example of living out our class wish. He is kind, considerate and compassionate. Ryan puts into friendships what he wants to get out of them. He has lots of friends in the school due to his loving and attentive nature. Without hesitation, Ryan goes out of his way to ensure everyone in our class is safe and happy at school. Well done - you are a brilliant example for treating others how you would like to be treated. A brilliant role model.

Advent Retreat day 2019
We learnt the true meaning of Advent and that it is a journey and time of waiting. We understand that we need to be patient and enjoy all the wonderful things that we can take from Advent such as Peace, Love, Joy and Hope. Thank you Emily and Dan for reminding us about the importance of waiting.
Year 5 have had a new class pet, a Giant African Land Snail. This has linked in with our English lessons, as the children have been writing to the U.S. Department of Agriculture to ask them to stop killing these innocent creatures! Over the past three weeks, the children have fed, handled and cleaned out the GALS. Please enjoy the pictures below...
God wants us to look after the Creation he has left for us.
We have shown to be loving, compassionate, attentive and curious.
Today, we had the opportunity to visit the Book Fair. We read some blurbs and decided which books interest us to purchase. The pictures below show us exploring before our parents came...
God wants us to use our imaginations to open a book and be a part of another world...
We were curious about the books and spoke with eloquence to the teacher about why we want to purchase a certain book.
Today, we experimented the effect gravity has on different objects (weight and size). We enjoyed dropping the objects into flour, although it got messy! Below are some pictures.
God wants us to explore the world he has created, test ourselves and theories and enjoy our learning.
Today in Science, Year 5 went to the Duck Pond to explore life cycles and observe seasonal changes in our local area. The children enjoyed making notes, exploring and seeing the changes that have taken place over the term.
God wants us to appreciate the world, look after the animals and respect nature.
We are grateful for what God has given us and we are active by making a difference to our planet by clearing litter, watering the plants and looking after the animals.
