"A high quality computing education equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world."
Computing programme of study, Department of Education
Here at St Rose, to fulfil all of these objects and to achieve the aims of The National Curriculum, we use the planning scheme from BGFL/ Launchpad 365.
We feel this planning scheme allows us to deliver the rich and broad Computing curriculum the children need and equips them with the technological skills needed for later life. Within this scheme are included the three main aspects of the computing curriculum ; computer science (CS), information technology (IT) and digital literacy (DL). We also feel this planning format and coverage allows the children to partake in exciting, fun and engaging Computing topics which hold their attention and help them to achieve the most learning and understanding. Please see a copy of the BGFL Planning Document below.
