Class Library Time
Here at St Rose, we pride ourselves in encouraging our children to enjoy Reading and to spend time enjoying or listening to books, simple for pleasure. As part of this ethos, every class in the school has a half hour slot of Library Time every week, where they go to the school library, listen to stories from the class teacher, browse the library books and spend time enjoying and reading books independently.
You can see pictures of our younger children in the school enjoying their library time below. This is a truly valued and special part of our school week and curriculum and something the children truly enjoy. Please ensure you encourage your child to read at home, in any way possible, whether this be through reading books, comics, cereal boxes, magazines, bill boards, menus, toy packaging etc.
