Collective Worship
Although we cannot meet as a school for Collective Worship, we will still be worshipping together in our class. We will be reading lots of Bible stories, praying together, learning Hymns and Bible songs and having time to wonder about our faith. I will keep this page updated with photos and information to show you what we have been doing in Reception.

Remembrance Day
Today we attended virtual Mass with Father Gary. Following this we watched a short reflection video for Remembrance Day. We had a 2 minute silence to remember all those who have fought so bravely or died to keep us safe.
Reception did so well and really were a credit to the school. They were respectful when they took time to reflect during the 2 minute silence. In Reception we have been learning about Remembrance Day and the significance of a poppy. We made a class poppy wreath and we individually made poppy pictures using paint and apples to print. We think that the pictures look fantastic and are really effective.

Collective Worship - Autumn 1
Week 7 - WC: 12.10.20
Thursday 15th October - Prayer time
Today we thought of our own prayers again. We thought about things that we would like to thank God for or somebody or something that we would like to pray for. The children's prayers were written down and they hung their prayers on the prayer tree.
Week 6 - WC: 05.10.20
Thursday 8th October - Prayer time
Today we thought of our own prayers. We thought about things that we would like to thank God for or somebody or something that we would like to pray for. The children's prayers were written down and they hung their prayers on the prayer tree.
Wednesday 7th October - Mass online
Today we were able to attend Mass virtually via Youtube in our classroom. The children sat beautifully while we listened to Father Gary. He talked about October being the month of The Rosary and how rosary beads help remind us to say our prayers.
Bible story - Noah's Ark
We read the story all together and answered some questions about the story. We spoke about how a rainbow reminds us that God keeps his promises.
God put a rainbow in the sky as a sign to Noah that He would never send a flood to destroy the world again. We can trust God because everything He promises is true. “I can trust God because God keeps His promises.”
