**New paper learning packs for this week are available to collect from the office**
Please try and post on the class blog at least once a week, if not more, so I can see how the children are doing. It means I can write the children a little message to encourage them. You will need your BGfL log in details for this.
If you need any support or have any queries please email stroseN@olstrose.bham.sch.uk
Happy Friday Nursery! I can't believe how far we are through the half term. I've given you an energetic worship song to start to the day and wake you up. Well done to all of you who have been trying your hardest this week. Have a lovely weekend.
Click on the link below to find out who is the star of the week!
Today we have a great song for you to sing and dance to as your morning worship.
Today it’s your child’s turn to tell the story. You might like to have the story map from earlier in the week in front of them to support them. You may also like to cover a chair with a throw and different cushions to make it a story telling chair or to create a reading den for them to retell the story in.
To develop your child’s understanding of lengths of time and set a timer. Challenge your child to see how many marbles, lego bricks, pegs etc they can put in a jar before the timer runs out. You could discuss what they are doing. Tell me about what you’re doing. How many marbles did you get in that time? How many did you get in last time? What will you try next? You could even try to both do it and discuss who has got the most marbles in their pot? How do you know? What could you do to make sure you get more marbles in your pot this time?
Phonics challenge - Copy cat game
Make a sound – clapping hands, clicking fingers, slapping knees, stamping feet and ask your child to copy the sound. When they successfully join in, makes another sound and then your children can copy this new sound.
