Home learning page

This is a page for home learning and opportunities to stay in the loop with Year 3 if you do need to be off school. This is a requirement as we would like you to stay up to date with learning and to continue to try your best when you are at home (which we know you will do).

You can complete this work in your homework, on any paper you have at home or by printing out the worksheets. So that Mrs Hawkins and I can see your beautiful work, we would like you to upload to the blog. THANK YOU!

RE:

Read the information here about the Sacrament of Reconciliation then create a poster similar to this example about reconciliation which considers the main points of:

  • what happens during the Sacrament?
  • who leads the Sacrament?
  • what is a sin?
  • how you can ask for forgiveness.

Usually on a Tuesday we would be doing some PE so while at home see if you can still stay active indoors. Can you do some stretches, some workout activities and maybe time yourself for each one. Here are some ideas...

Here there is a link to a YouTube video for some stretches for gymnastics and stretching out the body. Some of the stretches are a little tricky so PLEASE only attempt them if you feel like you can and if there is an adult around. Only do what you can do, we do not want you to cause an injury :)

Forest School:

Usually on a Wednesday you would be doing forest school. Today I would like you to do some research and to get creative.

We need some posters for our greenhouse which tells us about the plants and herbs that we are planting. Your task is to...

Create a poster that tells the people who visit the greenhouse all about the plants and herbs. You can create a poster about...

  • broad beans
  • peas
  • basil
  • chives
  • tyme
  • sunflowers
  • cress
  • baby carrots
  • baby spinach

Research how you plant it, what they need to grow, how long it takes to grow and what they can be used for once grown. Make your poster as colourful and creative as you can (there will be housepoints for the best looking posters).
