HOMEWORK

Due to the current circumstances and advise from the government, we shall not be sending out paper homework or asking for homework books in.

Children should complete the homework on the homework grid and this includes 1 home learning activity a week. The contents of the homework should then be added to the blog for Mrs Hawkins and I to see and assess. Please find the link to the homework grid below and these shall also be in their homework books which will be sent home on Monday 14th September 2020.

We thank you for your support once again.

Miss Mapother & Mrs Hawkins.

I am aware that there are some problems in accessing the Year 3 Blog. I am doing my best to try and resolve this as soon as possible so that we can get it up and running. I shall keep you all updated and will upload a 'how to access and upload to the blog' document when it is sorted. Until then, if the children just carry on with their homework in the books and when it is working they can then upload to the blog. Sorry for the inconvenience but we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you,

Miss Mapother

We ask that your child does a little bit of homework to progress and practice the skills learnt in school.

We ask that your child...

  • reads every night with you at home, even if this is just a few pages at a time, and we ask that you sign their reading record so we can see.
  • practices their spellings ready for their spelling test every Thursday. A copy of their spellings for the week can be found on the 'SPELLING' link on the Year 3 class page or by clicking this link below...

  • practices their skills on times table rockstars and active learn to progress and develop their Maths and English skills. The links for these sites can be found on the 'HELPFUL ONLINE RESOURCES' link on the Year 3 class page or by clicking this link below...
  • practices the skills they need to develop on their big maths sheets (these will be sent home with the children on a Tuesday) and they should be ready for their BIG MATHS test on a Friday morning.
