Mental Health Awareness Day

World Mental Health Day is being celebrated on Saturday 10th October this year so as we wouldn't be together to celebrate it, we decided to discuss it on Friday instead. If you want to see what we got up to click here

We decided to take part in the two week mindfulness calendar as a way of making sure that we take time out to look after ourselves and our minds.

We will be trying our best to follow this each day in school and if not, at home. (I have attached the document of activities below so that you can follow them at home)

There are lots of different ways that we can support our own and other people's mental health and it is especially important that we do these things in the current climate. I have attached a few activities and informative resources below so that you can educate yourselves on this topic at home.

We will also be endeavouring to set up a 'mindfulness corner' in our classroom at some point soon so that we have a nice relaxing area that can be used for those of us who feel we need to take a minute out during the day. If there is anything you might like to be included in this, please let me know!

If you do any of these activities at home, be sure to post them on the blog so that you can encourage others to do the same. After all, we want to help each other as well as ourselves!
