A note from me...

Good morning Year 4! I hope you have had a great weekend and spent lots of time relaxing and getting outdoors as much as you can. Well done to those of you who registered your attendance last week and posted on the class page. I will be beginning to make phone calls today to those of you I haven't heard from to make sure that you are OK.

Have a great day and I look forward to seeing what you get up to on the blog!

Best wishes,

Miss Elliott

Basic Skills

Please open the documents below to start today's SPaG and Maths 5-a-day. Answers will be uploaded tomorrow morning for you to mark your work.

Today in Maths, we are learning written methods for multiplication and division. Please watch today's lesson by clicking here. Once you have watched it, complete the worksheet below. Answers will be uploaded tomorrow so that you can mark your work.

Today in English, we are going to be exploring simple and compound sentences. Please click here to start the lesson. Upload your work to the class blog.

Collective Worship

Today, we are going to be reflecting on a familiar story from the Bible. Your task is to write an 'I Wonder' question so don't forget to also write a 'Maybe' response! Open the document below to start and upload your work to the class blog.

This week, we are continuing to learn to spell homophones and near homophones.

This week's words are:

  1. Cereal
  2. Serial
  3. Check
  4. Cheque
  5. Through
  6. Threw
  7. Draft
  8. Draught
  9. Stares
  10. Stairs

This word list is now on J2Blast, under 'Spring 1 Week 2'.

Remember - they won't always be in this order so concentrate on learning to spell the words and not memorising the order!

If you would like to practise your handwriting too, open the document below.

Big Maths

Below is a document that includes worksheets for specific CLIC stages. Don't worry if you can't remember which stage you are on, there are a list of names on each sheet.

Remember - you have to get 10/10 consistently to move up CLIC stages. So, don't be disheartened if you are still on the same stage - keep practising and working hard!

Religious Education

Today in RE, we are going to be learning about the Angel Gabriel and his relevance in the Christmas Story. Click on the document below to start the lesson. Don't forget to upload your work to the class blog!
