Good Morning Year 2,
How are you all? Did you enjoy the England Match? Looking forward to Wednesday night now!
I have been busy completing your reports and getting all your work ready for the week, over the weekend. I have also cut the lawn for some exercise. Hopefully the weather will improve in July as it hasn't been bbq weather lately.
Keep safe and don't forget if you have a problem send me a message on j2message. I am checking them regularly.
For the children in blue group and who do Direct Instruction with Mrs Woodley.
We are reviewing a lot of the word sounds this week in readiness for our final check next week.
Today we are looking at subtraction strategies.
This week we are doing some non fiction reading on the lifecycle of butterflies that link to our animals and habitats Science topic that we have just completed.
This week we will be looking at Superheroes.
Today's lesson is about gathering together to celebrate a meal. You will look at the similarities and differences between The Last Supper and Feeding of the 5000. I look forward to seeing your own version of the Leonardo Di Vinci painting on the class blog.
After the lockdown we have been doing basic skills catch up afternoon sessions so this week I am setting you some extra Maths and English challenges. The answers are included for you to mark in green pen (if you have one)... but don't look until you've had a go.
This weeks spellings are
who why what how which where when adjective adverb verb
these can be practised on j2blast and are to be tested on Friday.
As we finish for the day I would like you to read along with one of my favourite Aesop Fable stories 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf.' Sit back, relax and enjoy with your family.
See you tomorrow.
