BIG BRUMMIE CAMP OUT!

SIFA Fireside, a charity based in Digbeth would like us to take part in the ‘Big Brummie Camp Out’ on Friday 8th May.

You can camp out in the garden (the weather looks lovely), build a den in your living room or simply sleep on the floor instead of your bed.

This is a perfect opportunity for the community of St Rose to help raise some money for such a worthy cause.  All you have to do is donate £5 to the cause to try and help them raise £50,000.

Mass

Due to the Government's imposed social distancing strategies, it is not possible for us to go to church and join in with Mass. However, Father Gary is recording Mass services and the link will be shared with you at home. Further information and links to Masses can be found here.

Wednesday Word

Wednesday Words are still being released and can be accessed via our class page. They create a perfect opportunity for you (and your parent/carer) to sit down and take some time to focus on your faith. Don't forget to keep doing them and once you have done, take a photo and post it on the blog for 2 house points.

Dan & Emily's Weekly Worship & Song

Remember to check the school website regularly so that you do not miss out on Dan & Emily's Weekly Worship. You can find updates and links to their YouTube videos under 'Life of the School'.

COVID-19 Home Learning

As we are now learning from home, updates from myself will be posted on the class page everyday, along with a Maths and English task. Regular communication between pupils and teachers are done through class blogs. If you are unsure on how to access this, have a look on our Year 4 class page for instructions. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to email them to enquiry@olstrose.bham.sch.uk and we will endeavour to help. Thank you for your continued support at this difficult time, it does not go unnoticed.

Ukulele Lessons

In year 4, your child will learn how to play the Ukulele. We have an off-site instructor who teaches the children for an hour on a Thursday afternoon. Please ensure that your child comes to school equipped with their Ukulele on Thursdays to avoid disappointment. Thank you for your continued support, it is very much appreciated.
