the national.academy/online-classroom/year-2#schedule
Look at the Friday session and watch the 20 minute lesson on making an insect using outdoor resources. Create an insect using the resources and take a photograph.
Tell me all about the insect's habitat, what it eats and what different types there are.
The more creative the better...
You can do more than one!
STEM WEEKLY SCIENCE CHALLENGE
Week commencing 4th May
Now that spring is here and the weather is getting warmer again, how about going outside and doing a minibeast hunt? Our Science topic (when we return to year 2) is all on habitats. It will include us going on a minibeast hunt by the school so how about going and doing one in your local area?
It could be a patch of garden or somewhere in the park. Draw pictures of what your habitat is like and label what you find there.
Challenge - could you do a tally chart of the insects you find there too?
