Star of the Week
Star of the Week!
Each Friday, we will celebrate a 'Star of the Week' who will receive a certificate of acknowledgement for their hard work, good behaviour or positive outlook. The reasons for, and people who choose, the stars of the week will vary this year. For example, the focus for the week may be on presentation, behaviour, Catholic Virtues or enthusiasm in Active 15 sessions, or nominations made by the class may decide on the week's Star. If you have already had a Star of the Week award, there is nothing to say you won't get it again and equally, if you haven't already had a Star of the Week award, there is nothing to say you will get it without earning it.
Here is this week's star...

Isla-Mai
Isla has been chosen for Star of the Week this week for a few reasons; the main being her hard work and dedication. She has been putting so much effort into her work and writing some amazing things, especially in our Science lessons. Not only this, but Isla has been working independently, and sensibly with others in her class. She is such a great role model to those around her and a credit to our school.
Well done, Isla. Keep up the good work!

Tristan
This week’s Star of the Week was chosen by the class. As the Catholic Virtues this half-term are loving and compassionate, we thought it fitting to choose somebody who has shown these attributes this week. Here are some of the reasons for Tristan’s choosing, from the children:
“ Tristan helped me when nobody was playing with me.
When I hurt myself, he is always at my side to help.
Tristan helps others and cheers them up when they are down.
He is my friend and cares about others and me.
Tristan played football and was very kind. ”
Well done, Tristan. We couldn’t agree more!

Amelia
Amelia has been focusing really hard on her handwriting and presentation this week. She has put in 110% effort and it has massively shown in her books! So much so, that Mrs Hawkins and I couldn't believe the transformation of her handwriting from even just a week ago! We are so proud of Amelia and are certain that she will be awarded that much-anticipated handwriting pen if she continues what she is doing.
Well done, Amelia! Keep up the hard work.

Cassius
Cassius has settled into Year 4 amazingly and is showing a mature attitude towards learning which is fantastic. However, the main reason for his ‘Star of the Week’ award is because of his presentation. Cassius has been trying really hard to write on the lines and is using his best handwriting every single lesson. The amount of work he is getting done is fantastic and his exercise books are starting to look great.
Well done, Cassius. Keep up the hard work!

Elishaj
Elishaj has settled into Year 4 fantastically and really set a high standard for the other pupils in the class. She works extremely hard, often completing all the challenges I set, and behaves impeccably whilst doing so. We couldn't ask for any more from Elishaj at the moment and we know she will go far if she continues to show this positive attitude towards learning.
Well done, Elishaj. Keep up the good work!
