Thursday 4th March
Good morning Nursery,
I am very excited this morning because it's one of my favourite days in the school calendar, World Book Day! Today's learning looks a little different as I am going to be giving you lots of book based tasks to enjoy. Reading is truly one of my favourite things to do and a life long love of reading is a real gift we can give our children. We have also got a very fun challenge for you - The Masked Reader. Go to the World Book Day page and try and guess which teachers are reading what behind the mask! Click on the link below to find lots of World Book Day activities.
Morning routine
Morning learning activities
This morning's activities all focus on the story "We're going on a bear hunt" by Michael Rosen. The children learnt about it at the start of the year at school so they should be reasonably familiar with it and I know they love the excitement of searching for and being chased by the bear!
Tasks
1. Start by watching the author, Michael Rosen, tell the story. Can you create your own actions?
2. Make your own bear cave! You might use blankets and cushions to make your cave or decide to make a small world version.
3. Draw your own story map of the story. You might even want to do this in your bear cave!
4. Make a list of all the things you would pack if you were going on your own bear hunt by drawing each item.
