Tuesday 23rd February
Message from Dr Gould
Hello Year 2,
How was your half term holiday? I hope you have had a good rest and are ready for working hard this term. We were lucky with the mild weather. I had lots of walks with the dogs. If you want to upload pictures of what you did then please do. Andrea added to the blog during the half term!
What did you give up for Lent? I gave up sweets as I love drumstick lollipops.
Do you remember we had the CAFOD Advent calendar in class? Well there is a Lent one too. If you want to look at it then https://cafod.org.uk/Education/Primary-teaching-resources/Lent-resources-for-children (bottom of their page).

(The whole week's collective worship is to be found main class page).
The Tuesday document includes 5 a day, word of the day, SPAG and the spelling work for the day. The spellings are also on j2blast for you to practice.
This is the last week on our shape theme.
Click on the box to watch today's lesson. Complete the quizzes and the two tasks.
This week we are looking at the oceans around the world.
Today is a VIPERS session concentrating on prediction. You will need to read the story in sections and predict what will happen next. After the story has finished there are VIPER questions on what you've read. The story is a traditional tale from Ancient Greece.
Our topic this term is habitats. This lesson we will identify and sort a range of living and non-living things.
To finish the day read along with the Oliver Jeffers story. It's brilliant. See you tomorrow.
