Spring 2 - Week 7 - Catholic Social Teaching 

The child who we felt lived out the principles of Catholic Social Teaching was Evelyn. She not only works incredibly hard in our RE lessons but she truly tries to live out these teachings in our school community. She is a dedicated (and very organised!) member of The Lighthouse Group and we are very proud to have her in our class.

Spring 2 - Week 6 - Alfie

Our star of the week focus this week was for improving presentation and so we just had to choose Alfie. His handwriting has improved a huge amount over the year and he has even received a handwriting pen. Well done Alfie - keep it up!

Spring 2 - Week 5 - Catholic Social Teaching

Our star of the week this week is Evelyn. Not only does she have a brilliant understanding of Catholic Social Teaching but she is passionate about sharing that with others through her work as part of The Lighthouse Group.

Spring 2 - Week 4 - Mission Statement Luminary

The children voted for the mission statement luminary and they chose Grace KW for the following reasons:

• She always listens carefully and produces wonderful pieces of work no matter the subject.
• She follows in the footsteps of Christ and always tries to be the best version of herself,just like Jesus would.
• She always loves and cares for others no matter who they are and spreads kindness and positivity all around.She makes me smile every day and I can't say anything bad about her.
• She always pays attention in her learning
• She's always trying her hardest in every way
• She helps me when I am stuck in any lesson she always comforts me
• She is  very smart and kind to others and she loves to learn different stuff in every subject including RE
• She loves to help everyone around her especially in lighthouse group and she is one of the best people to follow in Jesus' footsteps!
• She is a very attentive learner in her RE lessons and she does many different things for everyone and lives our mission statement and CST

Spring 2 - Week 3 - Eros

Our star of the week focus this week was super scientists to link with British Science Week. Eros is our star scientist as we can always rely on his enquiring mind to come up with questions and try and solve them. 

Spring 2 - Week 2 - Andiia

Our focus this week was on a brilliant class artist and so we just had to chose Andiia. As well as being a marvellous new addition to our class, she is a very skilled artist!

17.10.24 - Our star of the week this week goes to Louis for excellent behaviour. He has always shown himself to be a kind and polite boy and his behaviour in class and around school further shows this too. He is always hardworking and is a superstar, well done Louis!

10.10.24 - Our star of the week this week goes to Ionah as voted for by class nomination. Some of the children said the following things about Ionah…

”for working hard and being a good friend to everyone”

”because she has helped me”

“she is so kind hearted, she has shone throughout the whole years in OLSR and she has the best heart and is the greatest girl”

”she is always doing the right thing”

03.10.24 - Our star of the week this week goes to Ghelila based on the Catholic Social Teaching of Family and Community. She is always a great neighbour to others and is willing to help the people around her including her peers, staff members and Early Years!
 

27.09.24 Our star of the week this week goes to Emmanuel for meeting the Catholic Virtues of Curious and Active. He has demonstrated this when working hard in class but also by helping out in Nursery!

20.09.24 Our star of the week goes to Isla for her hard work in being active, she has worked hard to be active around school, get steps on her MOKI and to do lots in PE and active 15. Well done! 

13.09.24 Our star of the week this week goes to Ayoub for brilliant presentation and fantastic handwriting. He has worked hard to make sure that his work is neat and he works hard to focus on his presentation.
