Spellings

The children will have brought home spellings to learn for the whole half-term. These will be tested on Friday each week. As well as practising to write the spellings out on paper, the children can also use the j2blast spelling app on BGfL (spelling game using the weekly spellings).

Your child will either have Group 1 or Group 2 spellings – your child will know which group they are in.

How to use the J2Blast spelling app on BGfL (J2 launch pad) - j2blast link

1. Click on the ‘j2blast’ logo.

2. Click on ‘Spell blast’.

3. Click on ‘Have a practice’.

4. Spelling lists will appear – click on ‘shared’.

5. Click on your group’s spellings – group 1 or 2.

6. Play the game – listen to the word and type the answer.
