Star of the week awards

Star of the Week

Each week in school, we celebrate a Star of the Week!

This special award is given to a child who has stood out for their effort, kindness, attitude, or achievements in class. There is often a specific focus each week too. On this page, you’ll find the names of our weekly stars, along with the reasons they were chosen. We hope this will inspire everyone to keep trying their best and shining brightly!

Autumn 1 – Week 4

Focus: RE work - for a child who is reflective in RE lessons and whose work demonstrates this.

Congratulations to Niamh!

We have chosen Niamh for her outstanding effort and reflection in Religious Education. She always takes time to think deeply about the meaning behind our lessons and shows great understanding and maturity in her responses. Her work demonstrates real thoughtfulness, care, and pride.

In addition to this, Niamh consistently listens carefully to others, responds respectfully, and shares her own ideas with confidence and kindness. She is focused and determined to do her very best in everything she does. Niamh’s enthusiasm for learning and her positive attitude makes her a wonderful role model for everyone in our class.

Niamh always tries her hardest, shows great respect during class discussions and prayers, and is a true example of how to live out our school values. She could be chosen every week for her hard work, reflection, and kindness.

Niamh. you are a joy to teach, a wonderful friend to others, and always ready to learn with a smile. 😊

Autumn 1 – Week 3

Focus: Presentation! Someone who is making a conscious effort to improve their work.

Congratulations to Elizabeth!

Elizabeth has been chosen as our Star of the Week for her incredible presentation. Since joining our school, Elizabeth has impressed everyone with the care and attention she puts into everything she does. Her work is always beautifully neat and carefully thought through. Whether she is writing stories, answering maths questions, drawing diagrams, or sticking paper into her book, Elizabeth always makes sure her work is presented to the very highest standard.

Her handwriting is absolutely beautiful and a joy to read. She takes pride in everything she does and shows us all how important it is to work carefully and take our time. Elizabeth sets a brilliant example to others in our class – she is hardworking, focused and always tries her very best.

Not only is Elizabeth a superstar with her learning, but she is also kind, caring and a fantastic friend to others. She has settled into our school wonderfully and is already an important part of our class family.

Elizabeth, we are so proud of you! Thank you for being such a positive role model and for showing us how excellent presentation can make our work shine. Keep up the amazing effort – we can’t wait to see even more of your beautiful work!

Autumn 1 – Week 2

Congratulations to Evelina – our very first Star of the Week in Year 4!

You have started the new school year with an incredible burst of energy and enthusiasm. From the very first day, you have shown us just how ready you are to shine in Year 4.

You are kind, caring, and always so polite. You listen carefully, follow instructions straight away, and are always focused and ready to learn. Every piece of work you do is completed with 100% effort, and you never give up – what a fantastic attitude!
