Learning, Living, Loving Together in Christ

Lighthouse Group

The Lighthouse Group is our one of our school's afterschool clubs that brings together the heart and spirit of our school community. The Lighthouse Group is built around four key themes: Our Common Home, Liturgical, School Council, and Charity. Each theme plays an important role in developing the ethos of our school, promoting our faith, and fostering an environment where every child has a voice and the opportunity to shine.

In The Lighthouse Group, children are encouraged to actively participate in shaping their school experience. Through School Council, they have a direct say in the decisions that impact our school life, from improving our learning spaces to organizing events and activities that benefit everyone. This ensures that our school is a place where each child’s voice is valued and respected, helping us to grow as a supportive and inclusive community.

We also focus on Our Common Home, where we work together to care for our environment, making sure our school is a sustainable and beautiful space that everyone can enjoy and that it reflects the beautiful creation that God intended for us to have.

The Liturgical theme brings our faith to life, with children helping to plan and lead special celebrations, prayer and reflection assemblies and events in the Liturgical calendar that unite us and remind us of our shared values.

Through Charity, the children learn about compassion and generosity, organizing initiatives that reach out to those in need, showing how we can be lights of hope and help in our wider community including the big annual charity day.

Just like a lighthouse guides the way, The Lighthouse Group inspires each of us to be luminaries within our school. We believe that every child has the potential to shine and lead by example, creating a positive and fulfilled learning environment for all. Together, we work to make our school a place where faith, kindness, and excellence are at the forefront, guiding our way to becoming the best we can be.

Prayer and Reflection assembly about the school Prayer Garden

The lighthouse group led a prayer and reflection assembly on the new prayer garden and Mental Health Week. They shared how children and staff can purchase the 3D printer made flowers for our prayer garden based on the resemblance of the colours to remember or prayer for someone and a specific theme.

Red - Remembrance

Orange - Courage

Purple - Sickness

Yellow - Mental Health

The money collected will go to the charities associated with the theme of the flowers.
