The Year of Jubilee for children in 2025 is a time of celebration and renewal for the Catholic Church. 

The theme for the Jubilee Year is "Pilgrims of Hope".  The way I explained this to the children was by breaking it down. A pilgrim is someone who is on a journey, sometimes to an actual place, sometimes it is something that happens inside as you "journey" towards making yourself the person God wants/hopes you can be. And "HOPE" well the importance of hope cannoot be overestimated, it is what gives us the desire, the push, to be better people. We can be inspired by the people around us and of course we can be inspirational ourselves.

What is the Jubilee Year?

• It's a time to reflect on the needs of the community and to consider how to respond with mercy. 
• It's a time to forgive and rest, and to get back on track in life. 
• It's a time to remember that we are on our way toward Heaven. (Which, from Jesus' point of view, we can have here on earth if we love more, care, more and hope more).

Pope Francis said the fo9llowing and I think it sums it all up perfectly:

“If we really wish to prepare a path to peace in our world, let us commit ourselves to remedying the causes of injustice, settling unjust and unpayable debts, and feeding the hungry.”

Throughout 2025 we will be holding events inspired and dedicated to, The Year of Jubilee. Our Jubilee Map, which is on display in our corridor, will be a living reminder and celebration of all the things we do.
