Our Lady and St Rose of Lima is a community of children and adults working together to become the
people God wants us to be.
We feel a great responsibility to ensure our children, no matter what their starting points are, have the very best knowledge based curriculum; lots of experiences in and out of school, to enhance their enjoyment of learning; daily opportunities for prayer and meditation and to develop a love of reading.
Our vision is, in some ways, easy to articulate… but it needs a constant drive and focus if it going to come to pass.
On the Last day of Year 6 these are the things we want most for our children as they walk through the school gates for the last time...
- Their relationship with Jesus has blossomed and maybe even spread out to their families and friends.
- Our children are enriched with a whole raft of new experiences, memories that will last a lifetime.
- We want our children to be vocational: This means they think about themselves and their place in the world, they think about the gifts and talents, the interests and skills that God has blessed them with, and they have started to make decisions, form ideas and plans, about what they might do to make Our Common Home a better place.
We want our children to be well educated, enriched with knowledge… thinking People and lifelong learners.
We want our children to be well mannered, polite and respectful
We want our children to be ready for their next steps… and we will do EVERYTHING in our power to make sure they are.
